VonShef 3.5L Air Fryer
The VonShef 3.5L Air Fryer offers a large capacity with a decent power and at a low price. There are more expensive air fryers with more power and options but for the price this is hard to beat.
Review of the VonShef 3.5L Air Fryer
Having familiarised ourselves with the control panel, we decided to try out a range of different food types starting with … yes chips!
Chips made with the VonShef 3.5L Air Fryer
As usual in our tests, we used a full 1Kg bag of frozen chips. Frozen chips come pre-oiled and so makes for a better comparison. Home cooked chips need a small amount of oil adding. The cooking time for the VonShef was fairly typical for an air fryer of this type. The chips were brown and cooked evenly, soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside.
We decided to cook chicken fillets coated in breadcrumbs in the VonShef Air Fryer. We gave the chicken a slight basting of oil and turned it on. 13 minutes later it was cooked. A beautiful golden cooked chicken in half the time of a traditional oven. Overall, we were very impressed with this.
We placed several fillets of salmon inside the VonShef 3.5L Air Fryer and waited just a few minutes. Fish doesn’t require much cooking at any time and with the temperature turned down it was completed in about 10 minutes. The result were good but the fish was slightly dry on the outside. Maybe we should have brushed it with oil.
The VonShef 3.5L Air Fryer performed very well for a unit which costs half the price of some other.
